The "Break Away" 7 Inch is TEOA's first vinyl offering. Recorded in an Air BnB cabin in the mountain wilderness outside of Asheville, NC, the wrote and recorded the majority of this song in a single night. The percussion sounds are organic - floor stomps, wine glasses, washing machines. You can even here the peepers outside from time to time. This song marks the first use of looping and more modern techniques for the band. The result is a starry, etherial patchwork of soaring melodies and hearth felt hooks.
On the B side is TEOA's acoustic rendition of the classic song, "America", originally written by Simone and Garfunkel. Who knew it could sound so good with a third harmony?
