"Shakey" is the second offering from The End of America. During the writing and recording of this record, the guys were all digging deep into the Neil Young biography of the same name, Shakey. The book, the title of which also happens to be Neil's nickname, offered insight into the fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants approach to making art, stating that your first take will usually be your best. Inspired this unfettered approach, Brendon, James, and Trevor set out to make an album as honest and raw as their first, which was recorded live in a cabin. But this time, they wanted a little more fire power. They inlisted the help of drummer Jarrod Pedone and bassist Bean Pitonak and in the summer of 2012, shacked up in Gradwell House studio and cut this record entirely to tape. It was recorded live in a room, vocals and all. One song, "Raining in Philly" was recorded in a single take. We hope you feel the spirit.
